How to make a personalized gold Bar Necklace

Welcome to the first diy on The Bohemian Faerie! Today we'll be making a simple bar necklace. You're going to need some tools:

1. Hammer (1 pound brass head mallet) 2. 16 inches Flat Gold filled chain (1.4 mm) 3. 3 jump rings with an outside diameter of 4mm 4. 1 jumpring with a 3mm inside diameter 5. Metal Stamps 6. Closed spring clasp 7. Gold filled bar with two holes in upper corners (a lot of these items can be purchased on Etsy.com)

1.Cutters 2. Flat nose pliers 3. Needlenose pliers (or a second pair of flatnose pliers will do) 4. Steel Bench Block to hammer on

Step one: Carefully line up your stamp and when ready, tap the hammer down on it hard, and evenly. Line up the rest of your letters so they are evenly placed on the bar.

It should look something like this.

Add your jump ring (outside 4mm diameter) to your gold bar by opening it with your pliers, and sliding it through the hole in the gold bar.

Add your chain onto the jump ring.

Close the jump ring with your pliers. Repeat this process on the other side of the gold bar.

Add your clasp to the chain using using another jump ring with an outside diameter of 4mm,

Add your jumpring with the 3mm inside diameter to the other side of the chain. This is where the clasp will connect to the jump ring.

Your piece is finished!
